A Functional Medicine Approach

Functional Medicine is a client-centered, science-based approach to healthcare that addresses the root causes of illness—not just symptoms. It looks at the whole person (mind, body, and spirit), and considers genetics, environment, and lifestyle to support long-term health and vitality.

This integrative model blends the best of conventional and alternative medicine, using advanced lab testing and personalized care to guide decisions with a “test, don’t guess” approach.

The focus is on prevention and healing through lifestyle change, including nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and relationships. The goal? To help you thrive—not just survive. (Institute for Functional Medicine, www.ifm.org)

What Can a Coach Do For You?

Coaching is about helping you live the healthiest, most fulfilling life you can—on your own terms. Most of us know the changes we’d like to make, but sticking with them alone can feel overwhelming. That’s where I come in.

As your coach, I’m your ally, not your boss. You’re in the driver’s seat, and together we’ll look at where you are now, imagine the life you want, and create realistic steps to get you there.

I’ll support you, hold you kindly accountable, and celebrate your progress. When challenges arise, we’ll problem-solve together and find strategies that fit you. Along the way, I’ll help you uncover your strengths and build habits that last.

My goal is to empower you to feel confident, capable, and in charge of your wellness journey—so you can live the healthiest, happiest version of your life.

About me

I'm a daughter, wife, mother, friend, and neighbor. I have worked as a part-time behavioral health nurse and nurse educator for many years while raising and homeschooling my three children. Over ten years ago, I helped found a classical homeschooling community of like-minded parents that is still serving families in south central Pennsylvania. As my kids are “leaving the nest,” I’ve entered the field of professional coaching, helping people grow toward health and wellness in mind, body, and spirit.

I’m trained in Functional Medicine Health Coaching and can support you in areas like mindset, nutrition, sleep, movement, stress, and relationships. When invited, I also bring experience in spiritual care and inner healing from a Biblical perspective for those who want to explore healing on a deeper spiritual level.

More than anything else, my fundamental identity is that I am a beloved child of God. Without this, I've found nothing else makes much sense.

"Self-care is never a selfish act -

it is simply good stewardship of the only gift I have, the gift I was put on earth to offer others. Anytime we can listen to true self and give it the care they require, we do it not only for ourselves, but for the many others whose lives we touch."

― Parker Palmer, Let Your Life Speak
